As the asylum seeker debate continues to dominate Australia’s political landscape, the voice of the people who seek asylum  is rarely heard. Often their method of arrival becomes a topic of discussion while their plight is sidelined. 

This short documentary is about the plight of the Hazara people. Predominantly from Afghanistan, large Hazara communities are living in Pakistan and Iran. Over the years, many have made their journey to Australia to seek refuge and most through dangerous ways.

But who are the Hazara? And what are they fleeing from? 

This is their story.
