Myanmar, also known as Burma, is stepping into a new era. Economic prosperity is within its grasp and much of it is due to natural resources. In Rakhine state, where natural gas is believed to be in abundance, major oil and gas companies are investing in on and off shore exploration projects. But at the same time, conflicts between Rakhine Buddhists and Rohingya Muslims are escalating. Could there be a link between the energy boom and the ethnic conflicts?
